NEGATIVES are POSITIVES
Let’s list all the positive, amazing, wonderful things we’ve found out yesterday and today:
1) Gum biopsy was NEGATIVE (shows no sign of leukemia)
2) Bone marrow test performed in Boston was NEGATIVE (shows no sign of leukemia returning at this time)
3) Bone marrow test performed at St. Jude’s in Memphis was NEGATIVE (shows no sign of leukemia returning at this time)
In addition, today, Ethan’s Neutrophil count was at 180 – it has been at zero for the last three weeks (well Monday it was 10, Tuesday and Wednesday 0, Thursday @ 90, and today 180!). This is what shows how well he can fight infections. When that number reaches >500, his body is able to fight some infection, he doesn’t have to wear a mask when we leave our floor, etc. So, this shows his “good counts” are coming back up, while his “bad counts” are staying low, and those bad cells STAY AWAY!!!
Hallelujah!!! Thank you everyone for your intense prayers and amazingly powerful thoughts. Good news brings hope, hope brings stength, strength brings amazing power, and on, and on, and on….
While Ethan still has a long road ahead, and this is not even close to the end, this news makes the road prettier, and more manageable, for today anyway. This doesn’t mean we’re done, this doesn’t mean chemo is over, this just means that this first phase was effective, and Ethan responded to the treatment well. As well as we could hope for.

YAY!!!!! I am so glad to hear that Ethan’s counts are way up!!!!! Negatives are truly positives and we are so glad that you guys have had such good news this week!!!!!

God is so good!! How amazing the power of prayer is!! You looked wonderful and peaceful at school Friday- I was so uplifeted by all the good reports- what a blessing- stay strong and remember Jesus is strong when we are weak- He’ll continue to hold you and your little superhero so close
