Bone marrow aspirate results from St. Jude’s, NEGATIVE…
A belated posting, but Friday we found out Ethan’s bone marrow aspirate (performed on Tuesday, June 5) results from St. Jude’s, in Memphis….NEGATIVE! This is great news, in that it reinforces to us that Ethan responded very well to his first phase of chemotherapy.
Ethan had two bone marrow aspirates done after his first round of chemo, on Day 21 and Day 27. Both showed there were no cancer cells present in his bone marrow. In addition, there have been none detected in his peripheral blood (the blood circulating in his body), since the 4th day of his 1st round of chemo. That’s the last time anything was detected. YEAH! (Ethan has blood samples taken every morning at 4 a.m., which we get blood count reports on every morning around 8 a.m.)
Tomorrow I’ll report on hospital and home days…Once again, it’s been a busy few days…
