Listening Party

October 16th, 2007 by admin

Ethan got something special in the mail yesterday and was very eager to show me. He flashed a CD at me but wouldn’t let me inspect it. He dashed off to the stereo to play it in the other room. Eliot kept telling me to close my eyes and led me by hand as carefully as a 3 year old would into Emma’s Room. We were all there sitting quietly waiting for the song to start. The extremely professional sounding song’s lyrics were dedicated to Ethan, his name was the theme of the song and were repeated over and over again. His proud smile was so priceless it got me to posting this entry.

We all sat listening; some seated, Eliot swaying and some trying to sing the lyrics. Here is the song for you to enjoy. Click to listen.

Ethan had an amazing day yesterday, full of energy. I tried to convince Johanna it was from the long bike ride we took Sunday.

The bike ride wasn’t our usual stick to the pavement. It was almost all off road and very bumpy as Ethan would remind me by screaming on the back of my mountain bike. “Stop going over the big bumps”. Mind you the ‘bumps’ were downed trees, if it was less then 6 inches in diameter, i was riding over it. I can’t wait to hit the trails again.

Eliot once again fell asleep and did the head bob into Johanna’s back. He does this all the time but rarely on bumpy trails. As of 24 hours after i see no neck soreness :)

Thank you Eugene Ruffolo (the singer) you really made Ethan’s day! The organization that produced this song is Songs of Love Foundation. Ethan’s Song/Ringtone download record number is 13258.
